Our January Swimmers of the month are Pre-Senior swimmer Lucy
Faust & Stingray swimmer Kerry O'Connor! These
faithful PST swimmers have truly earned the honor of swimmer of the
month with great weekly attendance and hard work in the pool!
Lucy Faust has the best attendance in the Pre-Senior & Senior
group for the Fall and Winter Quarter. Her weekly goal is to attend
seven workouts a week! On top of her daily efforts Lucy has
attended almost every meet on the PST schedule. Her hard work in
the pool has paid off: at the Cal Invitational held over MLK
weekend she turned in her best times in the 50 free, 100
breaststroke, 400 IM & 500 free (where she dropped 28 seconds!)
She is truly a force to be reckoned with in the pool & also
delightful to coach!
Kerry O'Connor has been on the team for a couple of years and is
in the Stingray Blue Group. Kerry is part of the group of Haven
students who are bussed to Emeryville. I often see Kerry running up
the hill to get to practice, trying not miss too much of the
workout. She also attends on Wednesdays to make up for lost time.
Kerry is a very hard worker and has really improved her strokes
over the last few months. Coach Alex commented that Kerry is always
focused on the workout, listens attentively and try's her best.
Kerry's work ethic and listening skills are A+.
Congratulations Lucy and Kerry, you have made your coaches very
proud and encourage you to keep up the great work!
See you at the pool!
